My kids and I love the library. We have visited and used the libraries near us a lot,when especially when we were homeschooling. We have library cards in three states, because whenever we're in town we always want to visit the local library. I believe regular library visits and access to all types of books, along with time to enjoy good stories, has fostered a love of reading in my kids.
Cameron and Hailey have both been named the top readers in their classes and love to read new books. Brooke's a published author of course, but she also loves books. Austin was an avid reader when he was younger as well. He went through the books faster than we could get back to the library.
The school schedule makes library time a little less common than it was when we were on our own schedule, but we still go pretty regularly. We made some time for the library after school today, since it was Friday and we had no where to rush off to. We enjoyed it.
en for nighttime fun, we sat down to a NOVA science movie that Cameron learned about at school and has been excited to share. I love that my family loves to learn and explore all the knowledge the world has to offer.
