Day 65 March 6th Park fun and Chinese food!
Happy Friday! Hailey and I had fun at the park on this beautiful spring day! Then we celebrated the start of the weekend with some Chinese food takeout for dinner. That's my kind of Friday!
Day 64 March 5th Shopping is fun
I got out of the house and ran a few errands today. It was nice! I got to get a free time for the potential scare from the Coronavirus and a few house hold things. It's always fun for me to browse Marshall's for a few minutes!

What day is it?
The days, they're an kind of blending together. See, we're right in the middle of this quarantine and you'd think I would have all the time in the world in my hands to blog, blog, blog. But it hasn't worked out that way.
Turns out I am full time homeschooling again, only I don't get to choose the curriculum,or assignments. 🤨 So, there's a lot of math. And other things related to being the Mom, like making sure we have food to eat, etc.
I've also spent faaarrrrr too much time obsessing over the news, keeping tabs on statistics, being disgusted with our country's "leadership" and that sort of thing. It's kind of par for the course during a worldwide pandemic, but I'm trying to re-focus myself to documenting daily happiness and grattitude.
So, surprise, I got derailed. But I HAVE been keeping track of our days and going to catch up, retroactively with what we've been up to during this time at home and life continuing on.
The beauty in my days the last month had been found in many things, but a lot of it can be attributed to the beautiful spring weather and blossoms that we're enjoying.
Today, as I watered our yard and plants in gorgeous 75 degree weather, I appreciated the gentle breeze, the freshly cut grass and the blooms of some of our flowers.

It's the little things today that are a big deal to me.
It's not lost on me that I'm incredibly fortunate to have a safe home to quarantine in with my family. We have plenty to eat, our needs are met. We are healthy and safe. Really, what more can we ask for during scary, uncertain times when so many people in the world are sacrificing so much? Not much.

Day 56 Quality time
Today I got a special treat. I got to hang out with my Brookie. We went shopping. We got lunch. We talked and laughed and I loved every minute of it. I just love hanging out with this beautiful girl!

In the afternoon, the younger kids and I had a little bit of time to kill before Hailey's dance class, so we looked for a park to visit. We ended up finding a state forest nearby and went exploring for a little while.
The weather was cool and comfortable. There was no one around. We drove through mud puddles. The kids ran and explored. I got to use an outhouse. It was fun!
We even found a heart made of pine needles that someone else had left us and everyone loved it. ❤️
These cute shirts say it best, my kids are gonna be my friends, forever.
