Day 33 Smashing Things is Fun

We bought the house we're living in with the intention of fixing it up. The list of things to remodel or update was long. We've done a lot but the master bathroom has been on the list from day one and we haven't been sure what we wanted to do with it. After 8 months of living with it, we have decided what we want to do with the space.  So, today we started the demo!

The kids helped. 

They liked it. 

This tub had never worked, since we've bought the house. We knew it from the inspection before we bought it. The jets were not functioning, the faucets were leaky, unable to turn off, the drain was broken, rusty and clogged. It had seen better days. So, we are replacing it! 

In addition to the tub, we are also changing the general layout of the bathroom by removing a linen closet in the middle of the room to make space for a new shower. We're planning to use the space from the original shower to extend the closet and actually have a useful space for clothes and shoes. The master bedroom closets in this house were VERY poorly designed and don't allow for good access or use.  

So, we're hoping to get creative and have a beautiful bathroom as well as a large closet when we're done. 

The fun is just beginning with this project. Plus it made a fun date!
