so, as it turns out, the lake is really low right now.
we knew that, actually. it's pretty abvious to anyone who lives around here.
we were being pretty careful when we took our boat out on the lake for the first time this summer.
we weren't carful enough though. those tree stumps just came up out of nowhere. (it didn't help that we were heading home in the dark.)
it was scary when we slammed into them, but we were able to get home safely and no one was hurt. that's what counts.
the boat is out of commission for now, but we're hoping to get it repaired as quick as possible so we can get out on the lake again soon.
next time we'll just be sure to get home before dark and avoid the trees that grow up out of the water!

We did the same exact thing one year. I thought my dad was going to create a new cussing record he was so mad at himself. UGH! Boat repairs. Even worse than car repairs. so sorry guys!

I just got your email and I am a blog stalker! I had to immediately check your out!! Your kids are adorable! I know, I can't believe we keep missing each other! Loren and I wanted to go to Austin, but didn't because we didn't know anybody there! We have to keep in touch better. I will add your blog to my list! I have a special place in my heart for you also. I wish we would have kept in touch better! We have to work on that!
